Rob Roy sign the versatile John Sweeney

GoalmouthScramble are tonight delighted to give some exclusive signing news coming out of Kirkintilloch tonight.

We can confirm that Kirkintilloch Rob Roy have signed former Pollok, Clyde and Kilbirnie Ladeside midfielder/defender John Sweeney on a one year deal after a season at Valefield under Budgie McGhee.

Stewart Maxwell was delighted as he broke the news with us, saying;

“John is a great signing for the club, he’s got experience in the seniors with Clyde and top junior pedigree turning out for Pollok and Kilbirnie in the past few years.

“John came in and played for us in the Petershill Tournament this weekend, he stood out and did very well for us. He can play in numerous positions which is a great asset for us as he can play in defence and midfield.

“Im glad we were able to get him on board at this exciting time following the announcement of us getting the new park”

From all of us here at GoalmouthScramble we wish John the best at Rob Roy for the next season!

Mackenzie links up with Prentice at Bo’ness

Bo’ness have today announced the signing of target man Allan Mackenzie from Pollok. Who boasts a wealth of junior experience at Shotts winning the Scottish Cup and is then moving to Auchinleck Talbot. Allan was Pollok’s joint longest serving squad player up until now, playing for the club twice, once on loan and joining back in 2014 scoring 26 goals in 152 games becoming a cult hero and becoming loved by many in the process.
